 Unis 2000 glue: properties, consumption and application

Unis is a Russian manufacturer of dry building mixes. Present on the market for more than two decades. The brand is one of the three most popular brands in the field of building materials. Glue "Unis 2000" - one of the most popular compounds in construction.

The reason for its success is the low cost and excellent technical characteristics.

What materials does it work with?

The most popular varieties of glue from Unis in Russia:

  1. "Fix";
  2. “XXI”;
  3. «2000»;
  4. "HiTech";
  5. "A plus";
  6. "Pool";
  7. "Granite";
  8. Belfix.

Some of these compounds are universal, some are suitable only for tiled work. Such a differentiation directly depends on the structure of the substance from which a particular glue is made. The most democratic in terms of price is considered the glue "Fix". The top price positions are occupied by Belfix glue - its cost per bag of 25 kg is about 400 rubles.

The best for work is considered "Unis 2000".It is universal and relatively inexpensive.

At the base of the adhesive there are such components:

  • cement;
  • polymeric additives;
  • chemical components;
  • mineral supplements.

    "Unis 2000" is ideally suited for the installation of any tile both on the facade and indoors.

    Alignment of the walls is not required when drops to 15 mm. Glue is ecologically safe. With this composition is permissible to work in schools and kindergartens.

    It is used for installation:

    • tiles and stoneware;
    • mosaics;
    • stone blocks.

    It is important to note that such glue can be used on almost any floor and facade. Often this composition is used for the installation of porcelain tiles, the parameters of which are 50 x 50 cm. The same adhesive is suitable for installing tiles on vertical planes. Laying is usually from the bottom up. Glue has excellent adhesion and low consumption per 1m2. “Unis 2000” can realize its best properties in such premises as:

    • kitchens;
    • bathrooms;
    • saunas;
    • swimming pools;
    • balconies and loggias.

    You can work with this glue in a fairly wide temperature range: from +5 to +35 degrees Celsius.

    Specifications

    Characteristics of the adhesive are not inferior to analogues produced by global concerns. The compressive strength of the glue "Unis 2000" starts from 9.8 MPa.With such parameters, tiles weighing up to 79 kg should be held easily.

    For example, a porcelain tile with a thickness of 1 cm weighs about 10 kilograms. The adhesion coefficient of the adhesive is quite significant - 10.1 kilograms per square centimeter, so this is quite enough to hold the block. To tear off such a tile, it will take half a ton of effort.

    There is a large variety of Unis 2000 adhesives for different types of work. There are blends:

    • for the cap;
    • floor coverings;
    • facade work;
    • ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles.

    Consumption

    Glue "Unis 2000" can be applied on a variety of surfaces. Instructions for its use is quite simple. Most often, the work is done using a notched trowel, the “teeth” of which leave even deep grooves. If the surface has too large differences, then it is more rational to level it first, so as not to waste expensive glue on such work.

    To prepare the solution, you must dilute the bag of glue 25 kg per half a bucket of water. Mix the composition with a mixer at room temperature. It is not recommended to manually prepare the glue, it is extremely time-consuming work, which does not always end in success.

    All substance should be well mixed without a hint of the smallest lumps.

    All tools and containers should be perfectly clean. It is also recommended to strictly observe all proportions. The solution is prepared no more than five minutes, it must be sure to stand for a short time, then it should be mixed again. It may happen that during operation the consistency starts to “cling”, in this case you should add some water and mix the mixture again.

    The working layer should not exceed 18 mm, the minimum thickness should be more than 3.5 mm. If you work with a small spatula (6.2x6.2 cm), then the consumption of the composition will be from 3 to 4.8 kg per square meter, that is, one package can be no more than 6 square meters. When working with a spatula with teeth (dimensions 3.1x3.1 mm), about 2 kilograms will be spent per square meter. If the teeth are twice the size, the glue consumption increases to 3.5 kg. The substance should be prepared in such a way that it can be consumed in a short time.

    After finishing the installation of the tile, it should stand, walk on such a floor can not be 30 hours.

    Glue can be operated at temperatures from 50 degrees of frost to 50 degrees heat.Manufacturers claim that this glue can withstand up to 36 freezing cycles.

    Unis 2000 can be used for any reason when it comes to facade works:

    • red and silicate bricks;
    • block walls;
    • any plaster;
    • drywall;
    • GVL

    Excellent adhesion, heat resistance, durability, strength - all these qualities are most valued by buyers.

    Reviews and recommendations

      In reviews, it is often written that “Unis 2000” is well suited for fixing slabs of marble and limestone. After laying the material is a little more than ten minutes to correct the work. To seams were the same size, put plastic beacons. After the glue hardens, it can be crushed only by using a hammer. Users also note that after installing the tile on Unis 2000 glue, no color deformation occurs, the material is “grabbed” tightly for a long time. Before laying the tile, it is recommended to use acrylic primer.
